Amelia recently retired from the Museum after 28 years of service and has become a member of the planned giving committee. “My work at the Museum has been such a special part of my life. I’ve had the privilege of working with brilliant and devoted educators and colleagues, always looking to learn new ways to reach young minds,” Amelia says. With these sentiments, she established the endowed Amelia Brock Innovation Fund. In honor of Amelia’s retirement, several donors have already contributed to the fund, with the bulk of the endowment’s principal to come from a future bequest naming the Museum as one of the beneficiaries of Amelia’s entire estate. She continues, “The Museum has given me so much and this is a way to give back. To know I have created this type of legacy is awe-inspiring and a perfect end cap to a perfect career. I hope my bequest and the endowment will be a lasting example for others to follow.”
